Why We Started Pebblecrest

We wanted a great home away from home when we visited family and friends in Chicago …. and the idea for Pebblecrest Family Stay derived! We raised our family in Western Springs, a suburb of Chicago. When our youngest went to college, we moved to the sunshine and warmth of Las Vegas. We traveled to see family and friends during the holidays of 2022, and the options for our family stay were extremely limited, especially with 3 dogs. The place we rented on Airbnb was awful …. the heat didn’t work (yes, it was in the -40 degree temps), the beds were like sleeping on concrete slabs, and the yard wasn’t fenced. We had our 3 kids with us, plus a friend of my son’s from college, so we had a great time being together. After many chats and weighing the pros and cons, we became excited about the idea of creating a nice, comfy place for other families and us to use while in the Chicago area. Small island photo

The smaller island provides ample space for meal prep without interfering with guests at the larger island. Once the food is ready, the smaller island makes a great buffet for family to fill their plates.

Coffee anyone? Everything you need here to prepare your fave hot beverage: coffee, tea, hot chocolate? Plenty of syrups and a frother to add the barista touch.

Big Island

Nothing better than a huge island to sit around and chat while someone else is busy in the kitchen. The open space allows seating for all to see the TV, just in case a big game happens to be airing.

Small Island for Cooking

Cozy Banquette

Plenty of seating here at the table for everyone to enjoy a meal or take on the latest trivial pursuit board game.

Family Room photo

The open concept layout guarantees family can stay together to enjoy the latest shows or cheer on their favorite teams. The cozy fireplace adds a touch of warmth during the cold Chicago winters or just some ambiance during the warmer months. There’s a smart TV in the family room, as well as each guest bedroom for ongoing entertainment and relaxation.

Family Room Desk Nook

Need space to work but don’t want to be away from the family? This desk will help you get the job done. The workspace is on the left of the photo.

Primary Suite

Cozy, comfortable, incredible relaxing …. All words that have been used to describe this soothing primary suite. Yes, there is another fireplace in the bedroom, and the plush mattress will give you the sleep of your dreams (pun intended).

Desk nook

Need a bit of quiet to get some work done or to hop on the zoom you couldn’t get out of? Everything you need is right here in this space. Close the bedroom door, and the family can continue with their fun while get things done that simply can’t wait. The nook is to the right of the window, and we need to get a better photo.

Primary Bath Shower

Spa-like doesn’t even come close to describing this tranquil space. A soothing shower, plenty of counter space for two and an air tub that is unequaled. We’ve even included some bath salts to help ease away the day.

Chicago Bears Bedroom

Plush mattresses and comfort don’t stop with the primary suite. Each bedroom is outfitted with high end mattresses and the softest linens.

Full Bath Upstairs

Plenty of space in this second bathroom that can be shared among the three bedrooms at the opposite end of the home from the primary suite.

Powder Room

This fourth bathroom is available just in case the other two may happen to be occupied.
